Yoga and Meditation at Goshen Family Chiropractic

Are you looking for some fun, relaxing, and rejuvenating activities that help your body heal?  Check out the various yoga and meditation classes that we offer throughout the month.  All of our classes are taught by certified instructors who share their knowledge of the mind/body connection to help heal.  All of our classes are open to the public and are donation based events.

Our Classes:

Gentle Vinyasa Flow/ Yoga Flow: This one hour class will lead you to explore your body and mind through gentle Yoga postures that facilitate an experience to build flexibility and strength in a safe and slow class setting.  This class is great for all levels: whether you have never tried Yoga before or you have been practicing for years!  The class has options for students recovering from injuries and illnesses as well, making it a great practice for every body! Please bring a yoga mat, yoga block and strap if you have them.

Yin Yoga:  This one hour class takes place entirely on the ground and is perfect for those who want a subtle and gentle stretch.  Yin Yoga brings you to a state of groundedness and full relaxation while still nourishing your body with the movement it desires. Please bring a yoga mat, blanket and pillow if you have them.

Yoga Nidra: Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice whose benefits are numerous. It is said that 1 hour of Nidra is equal to 7 hours of restful sleep. It is a led meditation that works through all 5 energetic layers (koshas) of a person. Usually practiced on your back but adjusted if that doesn’t feel good in your body. Please bring a yoga mat, pillow, and blanket if you have them.

Restorative Yoga: Restorative Yoga provides a gentle, relaxing, and meditative space for the mind and body to calm and ease.  During this hour-long class, students will spend an extended amount of time in 6 different postures that are designed to release tension in the muscles and other soft tissues. All of the postures are floor-based poses and supported by blocks, bolsters, blankets and other props to provide a peaceful experience. Please bring a yoga mat, pillow, and blanket if you have them.

Community Guided Meditation: Come out and join us for an evening of guided meditation. Anyone from beginner to experienced meditator is welcome.  Plan to dress in comfortable clothing, leave your stress at the door and allow yourself to be guided through a relaxing meditation. Bring a yoga mat, meditation pillow or blanket if you have one.

*** All of our classes and workshops are provided by experienced and trained teachers. A suggested donation of $10 for each class is greatly appreciated.
