Scoliosis and How Chiropractic Care Can Help

About 3% of the U.S. population has some form of scoliosis – some who are born with it, and some who get scoliosis as they age. It is a sideways curvature of the spine that mostly occurs during the growth spurt just before puberty between the age of 10 and 15. Symptoms can include: uneven shoulders, hips, and shoulder blades.

While scoliosis is treatable, it is not technically curable. One of the most important treatments for Scoliosis is the use of chiropractic therapy sessions. Studies have proven that chiropractic treatment can drastically improve the Cobb angle and help increase mobility. Chiropractors will also work on improving posture through spinal adjustments.
